1.   a)  Every percent problem involves how many numbers?  Three.

3.  The Three Rules.  To find the unknown number, multiply only to

4.  Use your calculator to answer the following.

4.  b)  96 is 37.5% of how much?  256  Compare this operation with a).

4.  c)  $13.50 is what percent of $21.60?  62.5%

5.  Amount = Base × Percent.  Calculate each of the following.

5.  a)  37% of $69.50.  $25.72               b)  6.4% of $219.  $14.02

5.  c)  420% of $3.97.  $16.67               d)  .5% of $1,243.00.  $6.22

5.  e)  53.8% of $63.20.   $34.00            f)  7.89% of $86.90.  $6.86

6.  Base = Amount ÷ Percent.

6.  a)  $89.50 is 26% of how much?  $344.23

6  b)  14% of how much is $78.50?  $560.71

6.  c)  8.65% of how much is $22.91?  $264.86

6.  d)  $63.40 is 43.1% of how much?  $147.10

6.  e)  7.1% of how much is $13.95?  $196.48

7.  Percent = Amount ÷ Base.  Round off to one decimal place.

7.  a)  28 is what percent of 41?  68.3%

7.  b)  58 is what percent of 105?  55.2%

7.  c)  What percent of 348 is 107?  30.7%

7.  d)  What percent of $23.50 is $164.50   700%

7.  e)  $3.80 is what percent of $12?  31.7%

7.  f)  What percent of $16.50 is $25.16?  152.5%

8.  Calculate the following.  To report a Percent, round off to one
8.  decimal digit.

8.  a)  How much is 24.7% of $89.50?  $22.11

8.  b)  $89.50 is 24.7% of how much?  $362.35

8.  c)  $37 is what percent of $87?  42.5%

8  d)  Find 39.6% of $28.60.  $11.33

8.  e)  8.65% of how much is $32.70?  $378.03

8.  f)  $121.50 is what percent of $45?  270%

8.  g)  Find 52% of $79.80.  $41.50

8.  h)  What percent of $90 is $27?  30%

8.  i)  $29.50 is 65.2% of how much?  $45.25

9.  Sandra was charged $31.15 for some supplies.  That included a 4% tax.
9.  What was the original price before the tax?  $29.95
